A gorges-and-waterfalls hike through the deep-time landscape Cornell is built into \u2014 Devonian bedrock laid down 400 million years ago, then cut by two waterfall gorges and framed by a glacier-carved lake valley. From the stone stairways of Cascadilla Gorge and the panorama at the Johnson Museum, across the Fall Creek suspension bridge to Triphammer Falls, Beebe Lake, and the Botanic Gardens, ending with a long descent to the 150-foot Ithaca Falls in the city below. A ~3.5-4 mile hike with real elevation; keep to the marked rim trails and bridges.
