New York, USA

A dense Beaux-Arts walk across Columbia's Morningside Heights campus \u2014 the City Beautiful 'acropolis' that McKim, Mead & White raised in the 1890s over the site of a vanished asylum, while Princeton and Yale were busy faking the Gothic Middle Ages. From the Broadway gates and Butler Library up through the science and college halls, the chapel and its symmetric twin, to a finale on the Steps of Low Library beneath Alma Mater, looking back down the monumental axis.
